Support Haiti…

On January 12, 2010, an earthquake, registering 7.0 on the Richter scale, rocked the Caribbean nation of Haiti.

This really breaks my heart. I’m just getting home and I’m hearing the death toll but they’re isn’t an exact number. I saw people digging out other people with their bare hands. Suddenly I remembered Katharina just few years earlier, now America is trying to built up a new identity behind Barack Obama now it´s time to proove to others let´s see how all this supporting turns out in the end and if donating really helps. Just knowing what had happend in New Orleans it sems a relevant question.  But no matter if we don´t do anything to support them, who will?

Pictures running through my head suddenly everywhere in the print media  and many blogs all over the world people been talking about their feeling towards this tradegy and in general we were all shooked seeing the massive destruction caused by the earthquake in haiti and our hearts go out to the families struggeling. I personally always look not on the struggle what´s going on but how people respond, and it´s great watching many people openning up and doing everything they can do to help anyhow.

Seeing these pictures one more shoocking than the other it really started it all off. I´ve been lookin for the latest infos all over the internet and by doing that I´ve seen pictures I didn´t want to see:( but that´s the way they used to do it over years.

Oxfam is sending 200 people down to Haiti in order to support those being left behind and desperate facing this trategy. Behind a 15 people Team,Oxfam is also suporting the task of getting clean water.

„The first step in an emergency will be getting clean water to people who need it as we know from experience that shocks like this disrupt water lines, and transportation is completely broken down,“ said Michael Delaney, director of Oxfam America’s humanitarian response department.

This song I recently found on the Invincible Album from our beloved Michael Jackson. It seems very fitting to the tragedy:(. MJ part is cut off this video schould be an instrumental, but the lyrics are so great so i just copied it

LYRICS:

We pray for our fathers, pray for our mothers
Wishing our families well
We sing songs for the wishing, of those who are kissing
But not for the missing

[CHORUS 1]
So this ones for all the lost children
This ones for all the lost children
This ones for all the lost children, wishing them well
And wishing them home

When you sit there addressing, counting your blessings
Biding your time
When you lay me down sleeping and my heart is weeping
Because Im keeping a place

[CHORUS 2]
For all the lost children
This is for all the lost children
This ones for all the lost children, wishing them well
And wishing them home

Home with their fathers,
Snug close and warm, loving their mothers
I see the door simply wide open
But no one can find thee

[CHORUS 3]
So pray for all the lost children
Lets pray for all the lost children
Just think of all the lost children, wishing them well
This is for all the lost children
This ones for all the lost children
Just think of all the lost children
Wishing them well, and wishing them home

All over the world people gatter to support those in need, at the end we all human and all the same.

Support Haiti
